Seat of House Blackbar in the western Reach, standing above the coastlands where the Sunset Sea meets the mouth of the Honeywine's country, between Old Oak in the north and the port of Oldtown to the south. Its lords have long guarded the seaward flank of the Reach.

The western shore has ever been prey to longships, and Bandallon's beacon towers were raised to give warning when sails were sighted off the coast. Under its lords' banner, silver charged with the black bend of their name, the levies of the coast have mustered against ironborn reavers time and again. When the fleets of Oldtown and the Arbor sweep the western seas, the men of Bandallon are seldom far from the fighting.
