Island seat of House Celtigar, lying in Blackwater Bay off the shores of Crackclaw Point. The Celtigars are of old Valyrian blood, kin to the dragonlords of Dragonstone, and have held the isle since before Aegon's Conquest.
The Lords of the Crabs
The red crab of Celtigar flies over a castle famed for its treasures (Myrish carpets, Valyrian glass, and an axe of Valyrian steel among them), for the lords of Claw Isle have ever been wealthy, and ever eager to collect. The smallfolk of Crackclaw Point, a stubborn breed who bend the knee to no lord gladly, pay the Celtigars their taxes only when the lord's men come to collect them in force.
