Seat of House Arryn, seven slim towers of white stone clustered upon a shoulder of the Giant's Lance, thousands of feet above the Vale. Smallest of the great castles of the realm, it has never once fallen to storm or siege, for no army can climb to its gates. The Arryn kings raised it in the years after the Andals won the Vale, and it has crowned the mountain ever since.
The Moon Door
In the High Hall, between slender pillars of weirwood, stands a narrow door of white wood that opens upon nothing but sky. Those the Arryns condemn are made to pass through it, six hundred feet down to the stones below.
The Sky Cells
The Eyrie keeps no dungeons. Its prisoners are lodged in cells open to the empty air, their floors sloping gently toward the drop, where the wind whispers until the blue itself seems to beckon.
