Seat of House Allyrion, raised where the rivers Vaith and Scourge meet to form the Greenblood, the great artery of Dorne. The castle's name gives thanks for its fortune, for no lands in Dorne are richer than the well-watered fields at the joining of the rivers.
The Joining of the Waters
From Godsgrace's towers a lord may watch the two rivers become one, brown and slow and generous. Orchards, olive groves, and fields of grain crowd both banks, and the poleboats of the orphans of the Greenblood pass beneath the walls in an endless procession toward the Planky Town.
No Foe May Pass
The Allyrions' golden hand upon gyronny of red and black flies above the river crossing, and their words are a plain warning. Whoever would move an army along the Greenblood must first reckon with Godsgrace, and none have done so cheaply.
