Seat of House Connington, perched upon a lofty crag of red stone where Cape Wrath meets the waters of Shipbreaker Bay. The castle takes its name from the griffins of the Connington banner, and its lords have long styled themselves the Griffin Kings' heirs in pride if not in crown.
The Red Crag
The Roost rises from a jagged spire of dark red stone, surrounded on three sides by the sea and joined to the land only by a narrow neck easily held by a handful of men. From its heights a watcher can see many leagues across bay and rainwood alike, and no fleet approaches unseen.
