Seat of House Goodbrother upon Great Wyk, largest of the Iron Islands. Unlike most ironborn holds, Hammerhorn stands well back from the sea, a grim and blocky pile in the Hardstone Hills.
The Hardstone Hills
The wealth of the Goodbrothers is dug from the earth rather than reaved from the waves, for their hills are rich in ore and their mines run deep. Miners and smiths throng the lands about the castle, and the ring of hammers sounds in its valleys from dawn until dusk.
A Landward Hold
Hammerhorn's thick walls and squat towers were built to withstand siege rather than storm, and its lords can call more spears than any other house of the isles. When the ironborn gather at their kingsmoots and hostings, the Goodbrothers of the Hammerhorn come with the greatest strength of Great Wyk behind them.
