Seat of House Merryweather upon the Mander, in the rich river country between Bitterbridge and Cider Hall. The castle is named for the famous board of its lords, and no house in the Reach keeps a more generous table or a merrier hall.

The cornucopia of the Merryweathers is no idle boast, for the lands of Longtable are among the most fertile on the Mander, heavy with grain, fruit, and fat cattle. The lords of Longtable have risen high on their charm more than once, serving at the right hand of kings, and fallen just as far when fortune turned; yet however the house's star has wandered, the harvests of Longtable have never failed to bring it back to plenty.
