Seat of House Redfort in the southern reaches of the Vale, its walls of red stone giving both castle and house their name. The Redforts trace their line to the First Men and have held these lands since before the coming of the Andals, weathering conquest and mountain war alike.
A School of Knights
The Redfort is known throughout the Vale as a place where boys are made into knights. Sons of lordly houses are fostered within its walls to serve as pages and squires, and many a famed lance of the Vale first learned horse and sword in its yard under the stern eye of its lords.
