Seat of House Gargalen, standing on the southern coast of Dorne where the desert runs down to the Summer Sea. Its lords have grown comfortable on salt and trade, and their table is famed for the bounty of the warm waters at their door.
The Red Cockatrice
The Gargalens fly a red cockatrice upon gold, a monster to match the strangeness of their sun-scorched coast. Ships bound between the Planky Town and the western seas raise the banner in salute as they pass, for the lords of Salt Shore keep the coast peaceful and its harbors open.
Between Sand and Sea
Salt Shore's lands are a narrow ribbon of life between the dunes and the deep. Salt pans and fishing villages sustain the seat, and in the worst of the long summers, when the wells of the interior fail, even proud desert lords have begged grain at its gates.
