Seat of House Qorgyle, raised from the red and yellow stone of the deep desert, many days' ride from any river or coast. Few castles in the realm stand so far from water, and none but Dornishmen would think to hold one.
The Deep Sands
Sandstone endures where armies perish. Hosts that have marched against it have been swallowed by the dunes long before they saw its walls, their bones scoured white by the wind. The Qorgyles need no moat; the desert itself is their first and finest defense.
The Scorpions
The banner of Sandstone bears three black scorpions on red, a fitting sigil for lords whose land breeds the creatures in every shadowed crack. Like their namesake, the Qorgyles strike swiftly and are gone, a lesson the Young Dragon's men learned to their sorrow.
