Seat of House Lynderly in the north of the Vale, taking its name from the wood that surrounds it. The Lynderlys fly a green viper twined upon black, and their lands lie among the foothills where the mountains begin their long fall toward the sea.
The Wood
The forest about the castle is old and close, and travelers tell of the serpents that give both wood and house their sign. The lords of Snakewood keep the wood as their hunting ground and their shield alike, for no host can come against the castle save by paths the Lynderlys have known for a hundred generations.
