The Spotted Leopard
The banner of Spottswood bears a spotted leopard with a golden axe, and the house has bred fierce arms masters to match it. Santagars have taught the sword and spear to highborn children at Sunspear for generations, and a Knight of Spottswood is accounted no easy foe.
Between Court and Coast
Spottswood's lands lie along the road that binds Sunspear to the Tor and the northern coast, and its lords keep that road safe. Close enough to court for favor, far enough for quiet, the Santagars have prospered in the shade of the Martells without ever growing restless in it.
