Seat of House Baratheon, standing upon towering cliffs above the raging waters of Shipbreaker Bay. Raised in the Age of Heroes by Durran Godsgrief, first of the Storm Kings, after the sea gods swept away six castles before it. The seventh has never fallen, to storm or to siege.
The Drum Tower
Storm's End has but a single tower, a colossal drum of fitted stone that swells outward as it rises, so vast that its granaries, barracks, and halls are all contained within. When the gales come howling off the bay, the tower is said to roar like thunder, and so men name it the Drum Tower.
The Spell-Woven Walls
The seaward wall stands a hundred feet and more, a double course of stone with no gate nor postern facing the water. The songs say the children of the forest, or Bran the Builder himself, wove spells into the stones, for no storm in seven thousand years has cracked them.
