Seat of House Costayne, raised south of Oldtown where the land runs down to the Whispering Sound. The castle takes its name from the three towers that crown its walls, visible far out across the water to ships making for the greatest port of the Reach.
Wardens of the Sound
The Costaynes have held the southern approaches to Oldtown for centuries, their silver chalice flying beside the beacon of the Hightowers in many a war. Placed between the sea and the city, Three Towers has served as both shield and sentry: raiders from the Iron Islands and corsairs from beyond the Redwyne straits alike have learned that the road to Oldtown by land or water passes within reach of its walls.
