Market town on the upper Mander where the roseroad runs down out of the hills toward Highgarden, held by House Footly. Wool and grain from half the northern Reach pass through its markets, and its wharves mark the head of trade upon the river.
The Dance of the Dragons
Tumbleton's name is written in blood in the chronicles of the Dance of the Dragons. Twice armies met before its walls, and twice the town was betrayed and given to the flames: first when sellswords opened its gates to the hosts of the green council and dragonfire consumed it, and again when the two dragonriders called the Betrayers turned their cloaks in its ashes. Thousands perished, and it is said the town has never fully risen from what was done there, though the Footlys raised their banners over the ruins and built anew.
