The pleasure palace of House Martell, three leagues down the coast from Sunspear, built of pale pink marble beside the sea. Prince Maron Martell raised it as a gift for his Targaryen bride, when Dorne at last joined the realm through marriage rather than the sword.
The Pools
Fountains splash in courtyards shaded by blood orange trees, feeding pools where children splash and shout through the heat of the day. By ancient custom highborn and lowborn play there together, for a princess of Dorne once decreed that all children are alike in the water.
A Prince's Refuge
Princes of Dorne have long favored the gardens over the dust and clamor of the shadow city, ruling from its shaded galleries while the sound of the sea and of laughing children drifts through the marble halls.
