Gwayne Hightower

Youngest son of Ser Otto Hightower and brother to Queen Alicent, brought to the Red Keep as a boy when his father was named Hand by King Jaehaerys I. He rode as one of his sister's champions at the tourney held in 111 AC to mark the fifth year of her marriage to King Viserys I, and was unhorsed by Ser Criston Cole. When the Dance began his father set him as second to Ser Luthor Largent in the City Watch, to keep a quiet eye upon a commander whose loyalty was already turning; he rode also with Grand Maester Orwyle to Dragonstone in the failed embassy to Princess Rhaenyra. When the blacks fell upon King's Landing in 130 AC, Gwayne ran for the stables to sound the alarm and was seized and dragged before Largent himself, who put a sword through his belly and threw open the gates to Prince Daemon's host.
